最近工作原因看了好多英语资料，也写了无数英语邮件（这个真值得单独开贴！）虽然不是第一次知道，但再次确认了下述心得：不少看似“高大上”的英语单词，其实都源自法语或拉丁语。
所以，今天整理分享一个未必最全但能囊括最常见的外来语。因为我对法语比较熟悉，这一期就分享法语——（学英语和学法语真的能互通有无，最近一直在上头听慢速的法语播客）。如果觉得有用麻烦文末点个“在看“哦❤️
-à la carte/according to the menu/按照菜单
例句：The restaurant offers an à-la-carte menu.
-avant-garde/cutting-edge, new/前卫的
例句：His art is considered avant-garde.
-blasé/unimpressed, bored/厌倦
例句：She seemed blasé about her promotion.
-bon appétit/enjoy your meal/用餐愉快
例句：The host wished us bon appétit.
-bon voyage/have a good trip/一路顺风
例句：We said bon voyage to our friends going abroad.
-boutique/small shop/小商店
例句：She found a unique dress at a boutique.
-chauffeur/driver/司机
例句：He hired a chauffeur for the evening.
-chef/head cook/主厨
例句：The chef prepared an exquisite meal.
-chic/stylish, fashionable/时髦的
例句：Her dress was very chic.
-cliché/stereotype/刻板印象，陈词滥调
例句：That idea is such a cliché now.

-décor/style of decoration/装饰

-déjà vu/already seen/似曾相识
例句：I experienced déjà vu when I entered the room.

-faux/false, fake/假的
例句：The jewelry was made of faux pearls.
-faux pas/misstep/失误

-film noir/dark, moody film/黑暗电影

-genre/type, kind/类型，流派

-haute couture/high fashion/高级定制（时装）

-hors d'oeuvre/appetizer/开胃菜

-je ne sais quoi/an indescribable quality/难以描述的特质

-liaison/connection/联系
例句：She acts as a liaison between patients and staff.
-matinée/morning performance/上午的演出

-naïve/innocent, unsophisticated/天真的
例句：Her naïve outlook was refreshing.
-nom de plume/pen name/笔名
例句：He writes under a nom de plume.
-par excellence/outstanding/杰出的
例句：This artist is par excellence in her field.
-rendezvous/appointment/约会
例句：They arranged a rendezvous at the cafe.
-RSVP('Répondez s'il vous plaît)/Please respond/请确认出席情况

-résumé/summary/简历（引申）
例句：His résumé was very impressive.
（*注——简历还有一个词是CV, 也就是curriculum vita, 它是拉丁词对应的英语解释是“course of life'，此处并没有法语词里包含的”概要“的意思。因此你通常会发现CV这个词用在学术圈比较多，而且CV一点都不“概要”，而是要把你所有可以写的学术成果都逐一展示。这两个词的使用区别，其实都蕴含在原先的语言里。）

-silhouette/outline, profile/轮廓，侧影
例句：Her silhouette was striking against the sunset.
-souvenir/reminder, memento/纪念品
例句：I bought this as a souvenir of my trip.
-tête-à-tête/（head-to-head) /A private conversation between two people/单独交谈
例句：They had a tête-à-tête over coffee.
